    Hi all!

I am trying to work out where to seat people on the top table. The problem I have is that I want my parents to be sat together (they would like to sit together also) but h2b's parents are divorced and remarried...ahh but wait there is a kicker! The in-laws (who have been split up for EIGHT YEARS) are now talking about getting back together (they are meeting up regularly and still have feelings yadayadayada)! Now some people may think that this makes things easier...most definately not! H2b's step parents will also be attending (not sat at top table) and this could cause a bit of aggro. Also h2b's parents could fall out all over again and I don't know how I would arrange the top table if this happens without sitting my own parents apart. HELP!

I'm not having parents at top table as both sets of parents have all remarried so I will have MoB + 1 and MoG +1 heading one table and FoB + 1 and FoG +1 heading another table. Top table will be us, bridesmaids and best man x

    Friends since 1999, together since 2007 :D
Mum to Twin girls and my little boy
Step mum to an amazing big boy

Because i have both my dad and my step dad there (my step dad bought me up) i have decided i am not having either on the top table cos i couldnt choose between them. So i am having my mum and 2 bridesmaids, H2B is having best man and his mum and stepdad (but his biological dad isnt around)

    Going to become Mrs Stockman

Me and h2b (obviously!) maid of honour, 2 best men, my daughter (but she will be sat with my other siblings) and my son =) I definatly want my parents at the top table (they are paying for the majority of the wedding!)

Can't you arrange it so that they are next to each other but if things are looking a bit awkward towards the day separate them with a best man or two!

ahh this is something I haven't thought of! Hmm but would'nt that mean that one of them are on the end? This may seem like a minor thing but they will kick up a fuss!!!

Sounds as awkward as my top table lol! Both sets of our parents are divorced (H2B's dad ran off with another woman when H2B was a kid but now married to someone else, but parents get on ok now, and as for my parents - my dad ran off with a woman 10 years younger 8 years ago, who he is still with now, him and my mum are finally civil to each other now after a long messy divorce which took 6 years!) So we're having all four parents and our dads' partners on the top table........ we know everything will be fine as they're all on speaking terms now, but still! My mum, dad and dad's partner will be next to me, and same for H2B!

We were going to have all 4 up on the top table but then the top table would be massive and then we found out that they might all be splitting up so thought it would be easier to sit the step parents with the rest of the guests. lol kaytee families are so awkward!!!! My h2b's parents (well at least his mother) didn't have a kind word to say about each other and hadn't spoken since they split up and now all of a sudden they are acting like stupid teenagers. I don't understand why they don't just split up with their partners and be single for a while coz each time they end a relationship they jump into another one!!! I feel bad for h2b coz he feels like he has to keep this big secret, they didn't even want him to tell me!!! Idiots
