I did a search for ideas but couldn't find any threads on this and was wondering if I am alone in doing the craft/hobby of scrapbooking?
I have done 2 so far, 1 for each of my son's 1st year, from their hospital bracelets to their 1st birthday candles.
I'm going to keep everything I can in the run up and from the day of our wedding to make a scrapbook of our wedding day. Any one else doing this and if so what kind of things, momentos are you keeping to put in your scrapbook? xx

Hiya Stevie I'm definetly planning on doing this! It's something to look back on and remember all the 'fun' it was! Lol
I'm going to take pictures of all the 'craft' sessions..... like making the whiskey marmalade favours because that will definetly be amusing! and going to get a picture of my church etc... I haven't really thought of anything else lol

I am kind of doing this sort of thing but am putting it in my photo album as I do memory boxes rather than scrap books
CommentAuthorStevie_Dee
I wish I could make a nice memory box. I have boxes which have memory stuff in, are a bit unorganised and are there for safekeeping until I work out how I can best use them. lol
MrsMcleish2B ooo what a good idea to actually take pictures of you making the wedding items. That would be ideal for some of my things as some of the actual things I am making...ie fimo horseshoe with our names and dates....are just too big to go in my scrapbook.
Starlight - Great minds - I have been saving and making spares of everything thats small enough to fit. I have kept our very first r.s.v.p that was delivered and such like. xx

Yes, I am doing this... I have started from the engagement and going to follow all the way through to the wedding. I also have a huge ideas scrapbook which is filled with all my wedding ideas so far. On my days off work I get it out and add more from all the magazines and stuff... I'm a scrapbooking addict :-/

I love it, it keeps me busy of the cold, dark winters! It's great especially when its finished and you have all your memories there in one place. I wish we could have done from engagement but that was back in 2007 and I wasnt scrapbooking then so hardly kept anything...other than the ring and I can't put that in. lol xx

I've just decided to do this! I'm going to fill it up with some wedding planning bits and then use it as our photo guest book, that way everyone can be part of it and even look through what's there so far. Then I can finish it up with wedding photos and other bits we keep from the day.
I'm really excited cause we just ordered the book from the bay and it'll be our first wedding purchase. Yaaaay~ Although H2B ordered it using his paypal cause mines expired and it's automatically sent it to his parents house. EEK. They don't even know we plan to get married yet! Sent seller a message though so hopefully we can get it sent here or even pick it up cause it's fairly close by! Whoops lol.

I'm making a memory box rather than a scrap book, but I might add a mini scapbook to it so all the little bits are kept safe x

I have been scrapbooking for years, and have a scrapbook for every year that I have had at university, and now for my stepdaughter and I'm planning on doing one for my wedding. Going to keep all momentos, rsvps, and I'm currently making one for my friend where I pressed some of the flowers from my bridesmaids bouquet to put in x

I'll be scrapbooking the wedding rather than having an album of wedding photos, I'll also add things like a small offcut from my dress when I do any alterations, spare beads from my tiara, pictures of all of my attempts at making the cake and perfecting it, invitations and RSVPs, some of the silk flowers from my bouquet and so many other things I just couldn't list them all. The one thing I love about scrap-booking is that not only do you have it there to look at for memories, but when you are putting it all together all of those emotions come flooding back and you remember it all again. It is a lovely hobby!

I must admit I found it quite emotional making the 1st year for both of my boys. A few tears. lol I can't wait to do the wedding scrapbook as it will feel like I can just bring everything together in one place and that it can be brought out in yoears to come to show my lil boy whos nearly 3. He probably won't remember the actual day but will have lots of things to look at and touch from the day. xx

Hi Stevie ..... Im actually making an A4 card scrapbook myself, using a Pogo printer for guests to take their pictures leave a msg or whatever. That'll be at the front, then the pages left will be or things such as dj request cards, invites, any memories of the day. I already have untold shoe boxes of memories lol. I think it will be good to look back on the day
