I'm sending mine out in waves, lol x
The 1st lot will be 4 months before to those who live the furthest away with a rsvp date just before the 3rd month so I can chase them up and maybe bump people up to the day for the rest to go out! ( 54/60 people on the 1st list are family!)

There's no guarantee whenever you send them, a lady on here sent out Std's and invites and people were letting her down up to one day before the wedding, after she had paid for all their meals etc.

There'll always be some you will need to chase! xx

I'm totally with you that if you've spent out you should be allowed to bill them! I'm just having a buffet so tbh it wouldn't much matter if only a couple pull out but if it's alot then won't be amused, still more for the evening guests!!! lol xx

Hi there, we sent ours out end of July for a mid October wedding - as even then people won't rush to reply as they will think its miles away so will need to do some chasing but don't need to give venue final numbers till 2 weeks before. They don't realise the things you have to do like table plans/place settings etc that you don't want to be doing last minute.

To make it easier we put little rsvp cards in the daytime envelopes that you can print yourself with envelopes (available from a large craft shop). Thought that would help get people to reply quicker. Evening is hard, some more traditional people have sent us little reply cards, others don't say a lot and assume they can just turn up so will be guess work for the buffet numbers i'll imagine.

We're sending out STD's very soon, as soon as they are ready! invites will be going out approx 3/4 months beforehand as we have to give final numbers to the venue 6 weeks before the day.

We sent STDs a year before, and the invites 4 months before. We had to give numbers to the venue 4 weeks before (but they were nice and acccpeted changes a week before!). We were chasing from 2 months up until the week before!
