    Hey all :-)

Our wedding is now booked for the 4th May 2014.

When do people tend to send out the save the dates? We were thinking sooner rather than later as its a bank hol weekend for people to get time off work but how soon is too soon?

Then how much later do you send the invitations out?

We wanted to pop a note in with the save the dates about accommodation for the night so they can reserve their room, but does this tend to just go in with the invitation?

    xx

    Happily Married! :) xxx

I guess one year is quite a reasonable amount of time for people to book time off etc.

I sent the save the dates as soon as we knew the date, which was about a year before - but I don't see any problem in sending them early, that's the whole point! Invites went out 5-6 months before with an RSVP of 3 months before :-)

Good idea, you don't want the possibility of people booking to go holidays etc.

I sent our STD with our xmas cards, so that was 8 months prior and then invites around the end of April :)

i sent mine out one year before and sent the invitations out 4 months before, save the dates definatly worked as only 1 person cant make it to the wedding and usually there are quite a few people on holiday or whatever x

We are getting married next July and STD will be going out by end of month, are a bit late but we have both been really busy. Invites will be going out with christmas cards to save on postage, but will will hand deliver as many as we can.

It is up to you though, I have had invites 1 yr before wedding and others 3 months before and in between.
