Lol - no, not the grove, H2B and I did go for lunch there though after meeting potential photographers at our reception venue literally down the road in hunton park. The grove is nice but I must admit we preferred our venue, was more intimate and get exclusive use whereas grove felt more impersonal and wayyyyyyyyyy too pricey hahaha. Got church in town centre so our guests will have fun negotiating the ring road lol.

Hahaha, we loved hunton park! that was our number 2 if our venue fell through. Agreed about the Grove...very pricey.

Lol - it's amazing isn't it! H2B and I totally fell in love with it as soon as we saw it! We've viewed high elms manor too and were totally unimpressed and felt like there was something a little odd about the place, felt rather uncomfortable on reflection so totally over the moon with our final choice.
Feel so perfect to be going back to Watford for the wedding for me. Same church my parents got married in and me and my sister were baptised so I'm just so happy :D

Couldn't believe the grove prices, talk about extortionate and you don't even get exclusive use on a Saturday! That was so important to us. HP was much more intimate for what we wanted. Just had a look at your pix of venue, looks really nice!

Aww thats really sweet, we are getting married in the church that H2B's parents were married in
yeah its not too far, still good link to london (for work and what not hehe) but house prices are sooo much cheaper.
i know, we went to have a look at The Grove and when they told us the starting prices, we wanted to leg it out of there haha....also Pendley manor is another venue i would have loved to have booked but again bit pricey.

Lol - I looked at their starting price on their website and nearly fell off my chair. What normal person can afford that! Marrying in the same church as one of the parents makes it so special. My sister can't remember the church as we moved to Garston when she was 2 so when I took her to see it with my best mate (they're my 2 BM's) my sister got all tearful.
I know what you mean about house prices, I'm out in Essex now, really nice area but houses still cheaper than Wat. Prob is the houses I like are either cassiobury or nascot wood ;) So I won't be moving back and I don't think I could tear H2B away from the town he grew up in lol.
