So I was slightly procrastinating from doing my uni work the day before yesterday, and I use Photoshop alot on my course (I'm doing photography) so using that, I managed to throw a few ideas around for some handmade save the dates! Printed a few out, stuck some bits together and so on and BAM!, showed h2b, mum and a few friends and they love them! :) So happy we've got another thing out the way, just need to get the girls round to help me print and stick 75 now!! Was also thinking of maybe sticking a tiny magnet in each little one so people can stick them up on their fridges hehe! Will put the piccie on wall soon :)

A really really cheap way, friends of mine took a photo of themselves in the garden, with each holding a piece of card saying the date on it then emailed it round to everyone - home made and no postage/material costs!!
Great ideas guys! See you dont need thousands of pounds for a wedding! :D x

They are all brill ideas! And well its 75 for the total evening reception numbers, ceremony will be slightly smaller, but still 75 guests is costing quite a bit in venue costs!! It's amazing what you can come up with creatively :) Havent got the pic on there yet, I will be uploading it in the next 10 mins for you! :D

We weren't going to send save the date cards, but as a lot of my family is going to travel from various countries around the world we have decided we need to give some sort of notice. So am literally going to send a group email which makes me feel like a real cheap skate, but hey its alittle late to do anything else, opps!

Bridalmiss - holding cards is my idea for thank you cards - I hold Thank and h2b You (or the other way round). I am going to make the cards and the photo will be taken on our wedding day. But I never thought of this a Save The Date - I LOVE it. Such a shame it's too late now!!! :-)

Yes we're holding cards but the night before our wedding when we'll be in the Chinese wedding outfits at the restaurant, there's big stone Chinese lions outside so I'm hoping to get a really good photo of us standing by it with the cards for our thank you cards as well! :-)

My save the dates cost me £2 for 200... I bought a4 white card and printed them laminated my own.. :) I love them and so does the family. I'll upload a pic soon.. :)
