I need some advice please. We have just booked our wedding for 29th July 2015. When would I need to send out save the dates and invitations? As it is a time when alot of ppl go on holiday would I need to do this fairly soon?

We sent our save the dates about 11 months in advance, as we're also marrying in the school holidays (2nd August) so wanted to give people plenty of notice.
Our first wave of invitations went out mid-March, with an RSVP date of May 1st. Once we have all our RSVPs back a second wave will go out with a date of 15th June if we have any declines; we're tight for space and so couldn't invite everyone we wanted to in the first wave.
I'd suggest sending save the dates out maybe 10-12 months beforehand, but leave the invitations until 4-6 months before.

We are getting married 25th July 2015 I am sending save the dates end of July this year, day invited mid jan to be back by end if feb and then evening invites at the beginning of April
Mine is 28th july, and have already sent my std's, due to the fact the date is on weekday and the first week of the holidays and the holidays for next summer are due to be released for next summer at end of this month. would get them out sooner rather than later.

I get married April (Easter weekend) and have been handing out save the dates about 6 weeks and planning to hand out invitations around November otherwise they'll get stuck with Christmas cards, haven't told OH that yet though lol

Save the dates went out 1 year before the wedding. We're just writing out day invites with an RSVP date of 30th June, will send evening invites end of May with RSVP date of 31st July. We get married 12th sept.

Oh and for invites I'm planning on sending then January with a RSVP of early may so then I can bump people if there are any body who cannot come with out them knowing then send out evening invites beginning of June

save the dates about a year in advance and invites can depend - how far in advance does the venue need to know numbers? you dont want to have the RSVP date too close to that as it'll cause you loads of stress and hassle have to chase the no repliers x

I am getting married in August 2015 and I am sending out my save the dates very soon as both families and friends will need to travel and find somewhere to stay so I'm trying to give them plenty of time to sort things out. My invites though will be out 8-10 weeks before x

hi we are getting married 23rd may 2015 (bank holiday) we are planning on sending save the dates about 9 months before hand and invites mid jan so 4 months before hand with a RSVP of about 8 weeks before the wedding as venue needs numbers x
