We're getting married on a Friday & was confused about save the dates!
Do we just send them to day guests so they can book the day off work etc? Or send to all guests?
Or send save the evenings?
What's the done thing?!

We're just sending STDs to day people and nothing to the evening people until the invites go out.
You could send save the evenings to those only invited later if you want to but I wouldn't send them save the dates as they may think they are invited to the full day.

We never sent save the dates but if we had done so we would have probably just sent them to day guests. I would probably send "save the evenings" to evening guests so that there is no confusion.

We only sent them to day invites as didn't want evening people to assume they would be coming to the day and even though it's a fri they'll still be able to come after work ect and you wouldn't want. Night get to take the day off and then find they are coming to evening unless you want to do a save the evening x
You could send them to both but perhaps do "save the date" for day guests and "save the evening" for eve only guests.

We're only having immediate family to the whole day so sending save the dates to them, were Also doing save the evening invites to the evening guests to save confusion as we're getting married on a Thursday, so we want to make sure everyone free as they may have to book the Friday off :) xx
finally became Mrs B 22nd June 2017!!

We sent them to everyone but purely because it is holiday season

We just sent ours to our day guests and not evening. The evening guests will get an evening invitation once the day ones go out.

I agree with most others. No need to send them to evening guests.
