Just wondered what people have done/are doing about sending save the dates to evening guests? Don't want someone to get a StD and think they're invited to the whole thing and then be disappointed....are you doing different ones for day and evening?

i wouldnt send them one to be honest just casually let them know what your planned date is and let them wait for the invites.

I agree with the others, We have only sent STD's for our day guests and its important for them to have enough notice and we will need them there all day. For evening guests it will be easier for them to make time to come on shorter notice and if they might assume they have an all day invite x
I only sent save the dates to people invited to the day reception not evening

I only sent to day guests as well. I think the whole idea of save the dates is to let the days guests know as they are the ones that may have to take a day or 2 off work to attend. xx
