Mines huge - im looking forward to the invite stage! Not!

I have a HUGE family but have decided only aunts and uncles are coming to the day time and SOME cousins i see talk to all the time to the evening to cut down numbers, otherwise we would have over 200 guests just my side and without friends :-(

Think it is the older generation, I have around 20 people to invite and I know for sure that they will not be coming, as they never attend ANYTHING (except funerals) but if I dont send them an official invite, all hell will break loose.

what i dont get is thou he said ... im not coming near a yr ago... so dont send an invite because hes not coming (family rift ) yes were the worst in the world for not sendiing an invite, but hes still not coming!!!... so i have to pay to send an invite that cost us for them not to come.... ludicrus!!!

might invite some more people on the Z list now!! as we will be 10 less now

i have had the exact same thing!

i send std to my uncle last aug...he lives in america and he said he cant promise but will try so sent him the invite and got rsvp back saying sorry in peru!

cousins...i said last aug so they could find baby sitters/ get time off work and not one cousin is coming so i have no decided to give up with them!

i know it is annoying but times like this you realise who your friends/family are xx

ladies, ladies , ladies ..... there is nothing like a birth, death or marriage to get a good old family feud going!! we are in the middle of one with my parents, they are seperated my mother is saying she won't come as she isn't sure what she will be doing then????? and she has already seen me get married before and my father and step mother say that because we have other family and friends coming i dont need them there!!!

families can't live with em....can't live without em!!!

I personally think thats enough info at this stage as it is over a year away yet!
We decided to send them as lots of friends and family use the August month to go on their annual holidays, and these get booked a year in advance sometimes!

The 'formal' invites will then be sent to guests with the RSVP's and details of other things about 3 months before hand.
Do you think its ok to add a mobile number and e-mail address for RSVP's?

I hope everyone manages to get their RSVP's back in good time, i know what i will be like with table plans!

just reading the comments above - i am glad i dont speak to most of my family! cant be doing with the headache it will cause at times xx best of luck to all of you going thru some kind of family dilema xxx
