We sent ours about 18 months in advance, as soon as we booked the date really as it was May Bank Holiday and Half Term and we knew people would book holidays otherwise x

I've starting sending mine out now and I'm not getting married for just over a year :)

I think a year in advance is the done thing, especially if you are looking at school holidays, as it gives people fair warning - package holidays form next summer are already on sale!

LauraR322 - yes it really does. With all the planning you kind of forget that it's just one day an now it's sad that it's over. Still got our honeymoon to look forward to in August though.

Nicola, we have our honeymoon booked 6 weeks after the wedding, as hubby to be's workload rockets in the school holidays, so we'll have that to look forward to as well and then everything is back to normal!!

We are thinking of sending ours out at xmas as we get married in the summer holidays in 2018 that way hopefully if people are booking holidays they will have plenty notice that we would like them to attend our wedding. xx
