Good Afternoon, I have just been sitting down and writing out my Wedding Guest list and it has come out at 136 people but that is not including some of the guests partners, children or even grandchildren neither does this include our friends this is just both sides of our families more my fiance's than mine. I was just wondering how many save the date and invitations etc would i need?
Many thanks x
Mrs. Claire L. Parker

When we got our invites we wrote 2 lists 1 for day and 1 for evening guests. We've done 1 invitation per family/couple.

Yeah, we did the same as Mrs MW. We also only sent save the dates to day guests xx

We did two lists too, one for day time and one for evening. Then we sent one invite per couple/family. We did our save the dates by using a deal to print photos for just postage then backing it on to card as a postcard (we have a seaside theme) and worked out a bargain of £5 for 75 save the dates.

With the save the dates did you ask people to respond if they thought they would attend? We thought we might create a website and get people to go on and confirm attendance and the only send a full invitations to those people?
We only sent save the dates to people we were definitely going to invite lol xx

The only downside to our idea may be that people are lazy and will reply to the actual invitation- thinking more about it it's a bad idea as most of our friends we know Woukd attend but wouldn't respond to the save the date!
