ok as a lil girl most dream of there weddings days and what they want, my dream was allways to get married on a beach somewhere and get there via horse and carriage.
so i have sacrificed my dream beach wedding and the dream beach dress to get married in england and hence teh dress changing i do love my dress btw.
so only thing left from my lil girl dream wedding is teh horse and carriage. do i sacrifice this along with everything else or dig in deep and have it regardless of h2b not liking horses and the money been a struggle to get hold off?
HONEST OPPINIONS ONLY PLEASE. (ie if u think im been a spoilt bitch plz do say)
the cars are all booked and paid for in full. we will still need these cars to transport us all way to venue as the horses can only go so far.
ive just been given three quotes 1 from one company two from another but for two diff carriages
the first quote was £400 she knocked 100 off for only havin it one way.
the other two quotes are one is £625 the other is £799. included in this is two horses choice of two carriages hence teh price difference two drivers dressed in our choice of colour pick up from my house to venue then it waits threw cermoney so photos can be taken afer with guests etc tehn we will leave on it and as going down the road and guests pass us we will transfer from teh horses into a car fpr teh rest of teh journey. now the money is alot alot more than i actually want to pay,BUT i was going to say ive had a cheaper quote plus could you knock anything off as where struggling with budget see if we can mange to get it knocked down any,to say maybe £500.
so do i have it and to hell woth the money since its the only original thing left of my child hood dream day or say no too much grow up get over it and go without??
i really really want this the beach and horse and carriage where the only things a dreamed of as a kid more than a dress.
i just dont know what to do :-/ xx

i would love a horse and carriage but have a very server allergy to them not a good look for a bride and would end up in a&e lol i say you have given upothere beach wedding so have the horse but only if your notstretchingg your selfs to much and its not like h2b as to touch or go near the horse it will have 2competentt drivers and hes not exactly going to be to near it. xx

If you can fit it in your budget, go for it! H2B not liking horses isn't a problem as he's not going to be sat on the horse and if you are just having it on the way to the ceremony he needn't be anywhere near the horse anyway! Good luck with whatever you decide xx

i want to give you honest advice i hope it helps ------- yes this is your dream day and you should want it to be everything you dreamed of...however is a horse and carrage worth trouble of money issues when ultimatly what are you going to remember the day more for sitting in a horse and caragge or marring the guy you love....like i said it should be everything you dreamed of but sometime we do have to step back and think ok this is one day out the rest of my life how much will this upset me if i dont do it?!?!?!!? to me if i knew it would cause problems and rifts financially i wouldnt do it..hope it helps

Personally I also prefer the cheaper one - it has a more authentic look to it :) But I can understand why you may prefer the 2nd pic from the more expensive people - I'd just have to ask myself if it was worth the extra couple of hundred £. Up to you hun! Xx

the money isnt an issue as in we would argue over it, he said hes happy for me to have it as long as its not the princess one cause it reminds him of jordan and how fake and plastic she is (his words not mine)
so im going to ring on friday morning when i know i have the money to pay a deposit and go for the middle one but im going to try knock her down on price and im also goin to ring round for some more quotes.
the only reason im goin for the middle one is i dont like blue/black as tehy remind me more of funeral carriages if im honest x

dont forget u could always decorate the cheaper carriage with some white organza and ribbons etc, if ur struggling with budget this might be a good compromise, im with u though i prefer the middle one, dont like the jordan carriage either lol ive let go of most of my childhood dreams as they were b4 i knew the value of money and also the value of love so even though i havent got a lot of the things i wanted on my big day i have the man and thats all that matters x

To be honest, I think the cheaper one is the best. It just seems to have more class but that's just my opinion. I'll be honest about the first one, and I don't mean to offend - but it actually looks like something out of gypsy wedding!! Sorry for the opinion, as I know that some will like it.
