I have given people a reasonable amount of time to reply to the day invites, why do they some people feel the need to wait until the last min and then contact my parents and ask " are the kids invited?"
1, NO if they were I would have put their names on the invite 2, Ask me the person who's name is on the invite to RSVP too not my mother 3, I am still waiting for the rsvp.

Yes I've had people contact mine and h2bs mother asking things like that. Also a few people asking when they have to reply by, erm the date it says on the RSVP. I totally get where your coming from grrr x x

Don't let it get to you hun. Give them a call and tell them you need an RSVP from them now. It's not worth getting worked up over though, you will have much more important things to worry about this close to the wedding I am sure :) xxx

I know it's annoying but look on the brightside - your mom dealing with them is one less thing for you to do! Just make sure she knows what to say about who's invited! Don't let it stress you out, people are dead annoying sometimes. xx

My mother is so funny - she is such a push over lol.
My one uncle decided not to invite me to his (3rd) wedding as I have not invited his 7 children (by 3 diff wives) to my wedding. I am the only one in the whole family not invited.
I don't care but just thought it a little rude. He then added when speaking to my mother he will let us know. Sod off don't come less for me to pay out on food at mine and a gift for him.
I will just go to the next one of his lol

I have decided to send a letter the day after the cut off date saying thatI guess that they are unable to attend our day we and that we are happy for them to come the the evening if they would like too.

i think i will put in a little thing in with my invites saying that if i dont hear by the deadline then i assume you not coming and will give space to someone else haha
how does it work though do you give them say 2 months before the deadline you have for final numbers and then you have a month to sort out extra people that you couldnt invite cos of others?

Omg I'm so glad I'm not having any day guests :-) I can imagine how frustrating it must be!
By the way Victoria this is very cheeky but I would be so tempted to send your uncle a card saying congratulations on your 3rd wedding, 3rd time lucky as they say :-) However I don't advise doing it but its a funny thought.

Its so annoying, we put very clearly on ours 'any dietary requirements'. Nice and simple but now with 5 weeks to go, some distant relative from H2B's side has announced that she is now veggie!

Well then just give her a salad and don't annoy yourself as she obviously didnt care at the time of replying. You might in fact save some money on her meal anyway so all is good :-)

However, just reminded me - I never even bothered to as ifanyone was veggie. I new i had someone with a nut and mushroom problem but forgot about the other fussy one's lol
