I've been to a wedding there, the food was lovely and it all looked beautiful. The only problem with that wedding was that the dj set up in front of the double doors into the main room, so it was difficult to get around it. You almost felt like you were trapped either in the main room or the bar.
If only life could be one long tea break

I went to a work conference at Rookery Hall and it was a lovely location. Slightly different to a wedding but still catering for large numbers but the staff were good, remember the food being average but the rooms were lovely. Really big and we had TV's at the end of the bath too xxx
Finally marrying the love of my life !!
10th August 2013 - 9 years to the day we met !
Amy, i take it you've now heard from them- as your wedding is only a couple of months away.
How have they being, helpful etc? Im worried about the room prep in the morning etc and it ending up looking how we want!

Sorry just realised you had replied Sara, yes heard from them last week for the first time and we are going for the menu tasting next week. Not been great to be honest, but if you keep pestering them they are ok. Just don't listen if they say they will ring you back. How do you want it to look? X x

Ha,kind of noticed that- think they get sick of me ringing now :) Don't know, but there are some things that I have bought myself that I want setting up and don't know if its the job of my florist who is doing chair covers and centre pieces etc or if I should ask one ofbthe girls from rookery? Just don't want to be dressing about it on the morning of the wedding :)

What things are you worried about? You can always ask them and they can only say no. We are going on Tuesday for menu tasting and got a stack full of questions to ask when we go x x

A family member got married at Rookery Hall, it was a beautiful day!! The only thing we noticed was the length between the courses at the meal & between each table getting each course, other than that it was a fab day!!, xxx
CommentAuthorAmyP7
Ok, so they are not great at time keeping? I will be happy if the only thing I notice is the meals being late and tables getting served a bit later than others unless of course it's a lot longer x x
CommentAuthorMrsEvans13
We didnt really notice as we were talking it was just that others were getting puddings before other tables were finished their main courses due to not a lot of staff i guess, maybe this is normal :S xx
CommentAuthorSaraA20
to be fair, i don't think its something that i will notice on the day. We have over 80 guests coming so i dont suppose you can expect everyone to be eating the same course at the same time xx
