I have found my dress its Romantica of Devon and called Constance. I looked like I lost 4 dress sizes once the ladies laced me in to it. My SIL2B nearly cried and my mom and MIL2B just said wow. i was totally speechless. Going back with my daughter who is my maid of honour next week and will order it. will look at dresses for my daughter at the same time.

Glad you found a gorgeous dress hun! I'm not wearing a Romantica one but I've tried on a few. Got down to a Margaret Lee and a Mori Lee one which both made me look like I had lost a few dress sizes. I couldnt believe it when I looked in the mirror, I looked all slim and curvy in all the right places! Finally decided on the Mori Lee one though, can't wait to get pics up, make sure you get some up so we can all have a nose! x

mines is romantica (pure bridal) and its perfect on me i love it. looks very slimming and is comfortable. mines is in ma photo album it doesnt have a name but a number and its in my planner (left that at mums too!!) xxx

I have Francesca, it's a zip up but now I'm really debating if I should get it changed to lace up as I've heard wondrous things about it!! arghhh what to do!

i have a romantica dress(arabella) but will not be able to wear it... i have grown to much since unplanned pregnancy so it is gonna get sold on the bay :`( was my dream dress too...
You look gorgeous bridalmiss i love that dress. Mine's a lace up feels so comfortable and gives that extra slinky look because of all the pulling you in.

thats a beautiful dress bridalmiss the corset back is a godsend, im not exactly model size but it hides ma stomach and gives me a shape. its one of the reasons i love it really!!!

Thanks ladies, am popping up to liverpool next weekend where my dress is and was going to check the dress again to see what type of underwear to get, might ask about the lace up or if I can get away with wearing a torsolette basque underneath to suck me in! Dress has been on order since Aug and is coming in end Feb so not sure if I can get it changed at supplier yet or if I would need to pay the seamstress for alterations...gonna have to work myself into a sweat to lose the inches otherwise!

Hi Ladies, I've got a romantica dress, it's called Zeta. Mine's also a zip up at the mo but I'm having it changed to lace up and adding extra beads/sparkles on the train. Fell in love with the dress as soon as I tried it on! x

I was 'this close' to buying Virginia by Romantica, but decided it wasn't quite perfect for me. I loved all the Romantica dresses, but Virginia jumped out at me. It was an all lace, strapless, a-line gown with a sweetheart neckline. It was in the colour of 'rum pink' which is not pink at all, more like antique gold slash dark ivory. Beautiful. But alas, it was not for me, there were too many problems with it e.g. strapless, not long enough train, not pouffy enough in the skirt. I find that all the photos on the Romantica website does not do the dresses justice. They all look the same in the photos! I cannot really see what Constace looks like, but from what I can see, it has a lovely shape and nice detailing. Hurry up and put some photos of yourself up! lol xxx

Yes, I was horrified when I saw the official pic of mine on the website, if I'd seen that first I wouldn't have tried it on at all! Thankfully it looks a lot better on than in the stock photos!

Ahh thanks Roshen, I like the dress too, nervous about when my own one comes in end Feb, looking forward to it being my size but nervous in case it doesn't fit!! Arghh! My bust was one size smaller than my waist, so the dress was ordered in my bust size so I need to lose 3 inches off my waist between Aug-Feb - been bootcamping etc, just hope it's enough!
Hmm something blue - was wondering about that, but perhaps a small blue flower pin inside the dress would do the trick!!

having a mad week so not been on much since i posted this thread. will def be looking for the hidden blue flower as that will solve the something blue. will try to get pics of me in the dress on saturday and my daughter in whatever we choose for her. will be interesting to see how it looks in a photo as i am all of 5'2" and a dress size 30 but they laced me into a size 26 and it looked great

I agree with the pics on the Romantica website, mine just looks so dull :( but it is really beautiful. Mine has a little blue flower sewn into the petticoat and is really well hidden, I still have to search for it now, even tho I know where it is! lol.

Thank you Indreamland, after all the messing around with Ebay/China, I succumbed and went to a bridall shop, and bought this at a huge reduction.......50% off the sale price! it had already been reduced by 10% so for a £700 i paid £250......gotta snap up the bargains haven't we?
For the price I paid for an original dress from a UK bridal shop.....it really wanst much more than Ebay/China......and I still have a wasted £100 dress that I wont wear......well I am doing a trash the dress in it so it wont go to waste.....

Doesn't a dress that has been discounted make you love it even more! I love my dress so much but when I was told that I was allowed to have the sample if I wanted it for £500 less so 1/3 off it just made the purchase even sweeter! You know it's meant to be. xx

God yeah, we will be walking down the ailse in a dress that cost us a LOT less than it should, so we should be proud of that.....I certainly am. The money I saved went towards other things....for instance its my honeymoon spending money.

I have got Romantica Roma dress. It wasn't the dress I imagined I wold go for at all, but somehow the shop knew (how do they do that?). I loved the fact that I got a waist and looked about 3 sizes smaller in it.

I NEVER wanted strapless, and didnt want corset back.......I got both. Well to be fair, my dress has spaghetti straps that can be removed, so depending on my underwear I MAY be able to go strapless, but if I feel I am not supported enough, I will wear the straps.
The ladies at the bridal shops know which dress suits which body type, and you and me for instance......our dresses pulled us in and made us look slimmer.....that was obviously going to be a hit so they knew to try those styles on us....
Small slim brides, they would probably try a different style on......they have done it for so long, they know the score. and I am pleased they do because I got the dress I love, and feel confident in.....I didnt want to look like a sugar plum fat fairy in a meringue....! LOL
