Hi. I've got quite a large family and an extended family also, so we're only having mainly immediate family to our daytime (30total) to bring down costs. To make the ceremony really personal to us im wanting family involved as im very big on family valuesetc however this is still quite troublesome as I'd like everyone to take part somehow ... ive got 4 younger brothers (22, 10, 9, 5 yrs) im almost 29 (large age differences due to parents remarrying) but I was wanting them to play a part as im only having 1 bridesmaid (my best friend from high school as MoH) ... anyway ... 22yr probably wouldn't really want any involvement as hes quite reserved but I was thinking maybe something low key like giving out order of service or something? 10yr old has already expressed he wants to give a reading which I would love as he is very confident and I have always been very close to him as since he was born hes been like my little shadow who follows me everywhere, I would love for him to be a ring bearer also however I feel like im leaving the other two out. What roles could they play? I've asked 9yr if he would also do a reading but he is extremely shy and i know he wouldn't feel up to it. 5yr ive got no ideas for :/
Ive also got both Mother-oB and MoG lighting a candle each before we light ours to represent our two families coming together. My dad is giving me away gets a speech and also father/daughter dance, stepmum doesn't really want a part as she said she'll probably be in tears all day anyway and stepdad who has brought me up since i was 2 may also do a reading and a speech but i feel bad that he doesn't have a bigger part to play. I know overall it is mine n h2b day but im such a worrier as I hate leaving people out :/
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated xx

For the five and nine year old, what about mini ushers? They could welcome people, hand out the order of service etc x

Are you doing communion? If so... the gift bearers are some more roles!
Also what about witnesses!?!?
And we lived happily ever after!

Could the five and nine year olds be page boys? At five it's probably enough for him to be in the procession. It sounds like you've got a church wedding, so maybe the nine year old could be an assistant to the vicar, if the vicar is happy to have one. He can stand at the front and hold the vicar's book, or orders of service. If the vicar is good with children, they might be able to come up with some ideas.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
