Im thinking about getting the robes for a photo opportunity for me my mum and my sister (BM). Im not sure if I should get cotton or satin and is it really worth spending that money just for a few photos. whats everyone opinions. It works out at £20 each but thats including slippers for white cotton robes and waffle slippers.

I was going to get personalised bridesmaid robes but they were coming in at £20-£25 each and I needed four. I ended up ordering Chinese style satin kimono robes off bay of e for £5 each. They look good quality and come in a range of colours, but won't arrive til end of month. A friend of mine had similar style ones to get ready for her wedding and they looked lovely, although I ordered white ones.

I got waffle robes with roles on the back and names on the front. I love them and worth every penny. I wanted waffle so not too "sticky"

What about getting cheap robes from ebay or primark etc and then get sticky diamontes with their name or their role. If it's just for pictures it wouldn't matter if they come off after

My fiancé got me a bride one for my birthday and I love it. Don't know where it's from though. I wanted one each for the bridesmaids and with the personalised hangers too, but decided it was too expensive. I ruled the hangers out when I reminded myself I was gunna try and sell my BMs dresses after anyway.

If you definitely want the robes I would buy cheap ones and transfer it yourself. :)

I'm having similar problem. I couldn't find robes cheap and not too short, so I'm thinking about talking to the seamstress to see if she can make me some (if I take her the fabric). I think it would work out cheaper, I can find the satin metre under £1 :D

I think if you can afford them in your budget then why not. Satin would be nice as th look more delicate,

I'm thinking of doing this, or having hoodies instead of robes.

I'm spending a couple of days before the wedding at my bridesmaids house so we could get use out of them the whole time if we wanted to lol.

I'd be inclined to go for a zip up jacket Donna instead of a hoody (if they do them) to avoid messy hair :)
