Hi ladies with six weeks to go! Me and h2b decided to try on our wedding rings.
H2b puts his on way to big so it's a trip to the shop to resize. Now I put mine on and it makes my fingers look like a tree trunk!!!.
Both me and h2b have lost weight so why has my ring got tight since we brought them?! Is there anythiny other than getting the next size up?

You would be able to get it resized hun, make sure you go to a jewellers that stretches it rather that cuts it otherwise it will always be weak at the cut, I had my e ring resized this way. My fingers are always bigger in summer than winter so this may be the reason yours is too tight xx

Dont rush into it. Your fingers will swell up in the recent hot weather we've been having. Try it again when its cooler, or run your finger under the cold tap for a while.

I agree with clive and tori my engagement ring is a bit tight at the minute it was a bit lose before that I wont get mine resized unless its to the point of falling off my finger as I always get puffy in the summer and I don't want to not be able to ware it for 3 or 4 months of the year x

I used to work in a jewellers amd its very common for your fingers to swell in warm weather, or if you have been rushing around etc and your warm before trying it on - i would not rush into having your ring sized just yet, try it on at different stages of the day and see how your feel, if need be you can get rings sized in half sizes, however a size is only 1mm but on your fingers that can make a huge difference !! At least you can still wear it even if it is a little snug :) x

I agree with clive/Laura et al; my fingers vary massively in size depending on the temperature eg in hot weather they can be 3 sizes bigger than in cold weather/an air-conditioned environment.

Because England is cold most of the year, and I work somewhere with AC, I decided to go smaller rather than bigger; my ring will be slightly tight when it's hot, and slightly too big when it's very cold, but the majority of the time, when it's average, it will fit perfectly.

So, try it on at different times/in different temperature conditions before making a decision to re-size it.

Hi thanks for all the advice, I think your right about the warm weather etc. im going to leave it as it is and if it gets worse than will change it. We did change h2bs ring as it turns out it is 2 sizes too big so the new one is on it way.

It might be worth knowing how long it will take to re-size the ring just in case? But I agree it could be so many things like the weather, water retention, your cycle, etc.
