Just been looking at ring pillows and I never realised how many different types there were! What kinds of materials, shapes etc. would you think are best, and is it worth paying extra to have them personalised do you think? xxx

EDIT I have changed your thread catergory to ring pillow as this is what it falls into and not just general wedding chat!
Please find a catergory for your posts as it makes it easier for other members to search the forum if they want to know something or ask a question and they cant do that if everything is just lumped into general wedding chat!
There is a catergory for pretty much every wedding related subject going so should be easy enough to find one that suits. If not then please contact a mod and they will make one for you :-)
    thank you

Ring pillows are so varied it really depends on the person whose buying it what its like!
Go for what you like or even make one yourself and yes I would defiantly pay more to personilise it as it will make a great keepsake after the day!

Mine will be hand made from the same women doing my venue decor. She makes all her sashs herself so she is using the same material and embellishments to make it so they match and i have a brillant keepsake of my venue decor afterwards, she also going to add our names and date to the front and venue name and time to the back :-)

Thats true Hails, they will be a keepsake. And I'm just not sure whether there is one material type that is better or more durable than the others xx

sorry bit of a dumb question I guess but Im a true newbie to all this..
I won't be having a pageboy, who would carry the ring pillow or wouldn't I have one at all? I do love them and think it should be something personalised as such a lovely momento for you to keep after the day
    xx

Think its nice to have it personalised hun, like others have said nice as a keepsake.

My ring pillow has been hand made by my auntie. she made it for me when i had our lil girl, it been made with one of my late nanna's doylies as the center bit. We going to have a navy ribbon tie and a yellow ribbon put on it and ues it for the wedding.
    Xx

If your not having a paigebot then the best man usually carries the rings but its entirely up to you who carries them!

We are not having a ring pillow.......
H2Bs daughter will be doing double-duty that day, firstly she is bridesmaid for me, then when she reaches the altar.....(she is going first cos she is oldest) she will then slip beside H2B to be his best man/woman......so SHE will have the ring. she cant carry her bouquet and a ring pillow too so she will probably put it on her finger until its time to hand it over to H2B to give to me.
