    Hi everyone

I was looking at getting a ring cushion made to order unfortunately the lady I was going to get it from has ceased trading.

If anyone had any recommendations can you please pop the link on my wall.

All I'm looking for is a standard ring cushion but with a tartan on it.

    Thanks

Could you make it yourself? It'll take less than 30 minutes to throw a ring cushion together - you can get fabric online really cheap (try the bay) so you could have your perfect ring cushion for about £5. if you're really not handy with a sewing machine you could always buy a simple ready made one and embellish with tartan ribbon to your taste.

Not all do crafty things though - I'm treasurer for one group and we never do crafty things. Some of the ladies (including myself) do crafty things at home but it almost never comes up at meetings and most would rather head to the pub than pick up a pair of knitting needles. We might just be an odd group though - we never sing Jerusalem and the one time I had an abundance of strawberries and wanted to make jam I had to get a recipe off the internet because none of the ladies I asked knew how to make it either.
If you go to the main WI website you'll be able to search for your local group(s) and there should be contact details for the president or secretary who will be able to put a request to the members and see if anyone is willing to help. If the contact details aren't listed on the website you can contact the county secretary and she will be able to get you in touch with the president. Groups meet once a month so it may take a little while before getting a response. Or you could of course join the WI yourself, make friends with the members and then ask people directly (they're more likely to do it for free/as a favour then).
