ive had it up to the eyes with my reception venue co-ordinator ive phoned 12 times in the last 2 weeks just to ask for the final price and deposit and she hasn't even bothered to call back just gets her colleges to make excuses for her

so ive decided to contact my ceremony venue and see how much it would be to have the full wedding there

    Hi, don't blame you.
I fell in love with a manor house in bristol, on the second meeting the caterer couldn't be bothered to turn up even though we had planned it.
So bugger them if they can't get back to you, go somewhere that will bend over backwards to give you, your day the way you want it.

If they are messing you around now then what would they be like nearer the time.... too much stress so i think you have done the right thing. I would also be tempted to complain higher xxx

If you really are determined to change your plans, don't bother telling the wedding coordinator. After all that's the treatment she gave you.
I know how you feel about setting your heart on somewhere. The church I grew up beside was going to be where my wedding ceremony was :-( I often thought I would have my wedding there. But as my fiance's dad probably won't be able to travel so far I made the decision to have it near his home. For 34 years of my life my wedding was going to be in my childhood church :-) but anyway my point is sometimes these things work out for the best, though we don't see it that way at the time.

Maybe in a few years time you could throw your anniversary party in your tall ship instead?

mmmmm i know what you mean, its a hard one when you have your heart set on a place, the thing is you have 23 months to go so maybe she can't give you a price which is why she isn't coming back to you? don't get me wrong i'm not sticking up for her its not right her not returning your calls she should at least just give you a ring to say why she hasn't called back

We had trouble with our venue in the 6 weeks leading upto our big day. We complained to the assistant general manager and when she then also make a c0ck up, we escalated it to the general manager.

Just think like the other ladies said what they will be like just before your big day if they are like this now.

What were you doing for catering hun? because your ceremony venue would prob make you take their package so thats what you will need to price. Is Tall ship not ran by council? Go above her head....

If you have yOur heart set on the place go higher up to general manager etc and highlight the number of times you have tried to contact.

If he doesn't get back to you after a decent length then I think you will need to go somewhere else. If they can't go all outbefore they have won your business then imagine what the treatment once they have x

Button-bell can't you change your mobile network to a network that gives you free minutes?

Any chance some of us could work together to try and find out if we can get the manager or general manager's contact details? I would leave it up to you obviously to make contact with him, but I'm sure if some if us pull together we could get you the email address and telephone number you need. Where is this tall ship and what is the name of the council that runs it?
