So I got engaged last month and have been contacting suppliers for our wedding in May next year - but I am finding some suppliers just aren’t responding. Is anyone else finding this? Is it because many have gone bust (so awful!) or are they just not open? Or not sure if they will be? Or is my paranoia right and they are avoiding me

I would imagine suppliers are really busy with postponements, home schooling and other lockdown pains! If there is a phone number give them a call to check if they received your email. They should be really happy to have new bookings since they've lost so much revenue this year

I'm sorry that you've been having trouble getting in touch with suppliers recently. As Lizzi says above, many of them have been busy organising postponements, but that shouldn't be an excuse to take on new clients!

I think from the 4th (tomorrow) suppliers will start responding again. Top tip- try and contact them through social media. I have no joy with a few companies by phoning/emailing, however through Facebook etc they have responded.
