I would like to know when i book the registry office when do i have to pay the money? , i don't have to get a registrar in as that is included,
and when is it best to give notice of marriage my h2b is worried about doing it to soon in case something happens then we lose out on £67
do i have to do the notice before i book registry office?

When we booked ours we had so many days after provisionally booking to pay the deposit and then all the rest had to be paid 16 days before the wedding. xx

you have a year from when the notices are posted to get married in before they run out. i am not sure how much a wedding costs at a registry office, and each district's prices probably differ, so call your local registrars office and they will give you all the information you need, they are very friendly and very helpful :) x

you need to do the notices at least 8 weeks before you are due to get married, but we did ours on the day that was 12 months as we wanted it to be sorted and to be certain that we got the day that we wanted, each registrars office is different, so give them a call and see what they suggest that you do, they will explain it all :) x

You cant book a registry office till 12 months before the date! The price you pay is the price for the ceremony and registrar's time
we paid a £20 booking fee and then on the day of the wedding you pay the ceremony fee ours is £43.50 atm! (the lager room is more)

The licences you can get anytime up to 12 months ahead! We have already done ours and our date is now finalised! (some wont hold the date untill the licences have been got)

Hi Sarah, Although our veremony isn't at a register office, it'll be one of their registrars conducting our service. The said we can have readings (and will provide us with a little booklet as an idea). They said if we'd like one and nobody is willing to do the reading then thy may well do one for us. I've heard from other people that some registrars can be a bit off but the really nice ones go the extra mile for you. fingers crossed we'll all get nice ones :) saying that we can't officially get our booked until November so anything can happen in that time! xx
