    Hi ladies!!
We have provisionally booked our date with the registrar for august 31st 2012 at 12.30! As we're not getting married in the distric we live in(Anglesey), the registrar in the distric we are getting married in(Gwynedd) sent us a letter saying to phone up our local distric registrar and make a date to go and see them and to give notice of the wedding and blah blah! So until we do that we can't officially book our date or be sent anything in the post about the ceremony and blah blah! So anywho we(actually H2B did as I was in work!) phoned them on the 1st of sept and they've given us a date to see them in Feb next year!! :0| I'm really worried that our date wont be held for us! what do we do!!?? It's all confusing and very annoying!! Why can't it just be simple :'0( Should I phone and see if we can go earlier or is there any other way we can do this? our friends who got married last year in the Denbigshire distric(they live in anglesey to!) said it wasnt this complicated for them! and H2Bs cousin said he didnt find it this confusing either! :0| xxxxx

As far as i was aware, if you have provisionally booked the date then the date will be held. Otherwise i would phone back and ask for an earlier appointment to give notice... otherwise phone the registrar who will be marrying you and explain the situation and check that they will hold the booking for you.

Jane are you getting married in a church hunni???
Banns only need to be read if your getting wed in a church..........if your having a registra in a hotel or other venue you dont need your banns read instead they do a little interview with you each. (don't worry they only ask you silly questions like are you sure when's his birthday etc to make sure the wedding is real)
