Confirming my venue tomorrow and obviously want to get the registrar booked asap. As the venue is in a different county/district to the one we live in... do we need to call the district of the venue or our local one? Thanks

We gave notice at our local district and they sent the info to the district of the venue and booked our registrar through the district that our venue is in.
Hope that helps?

We were able to provisionally book our registrar before we gave notice.

So we could book registrar in venue district and then go and give notice in our district? Thanks
That's what we did. After all, the registrar will be based in the local district anyway?

Ask your venue and they might be able to tell you what's best. Our venue provisionally booked our registrar for us; we just need to arrange a date next month to fall within the 12 month period :D

Yes, you need to book a registrar in the area that your venue is in for the ceremony, then once it gets to the 12month mark, you make an appointment to give notice at your local registry office x
