Ooooo not sure about this but its always a good idea to do some research into the company background to find out what they do how they operate etc.
Also make sure that you use some key words they like to hear like flexible, committed, reliable, passionate, able to work independently or part of a team etc etc.
Make sure that you have examples of your skills that could be adapted to fit in with what they are looking for. Have a look at what the job role is about and then try and think of situations that you have been in which fit in with it. Sometimes if you don't have the set skills they are looking for if they can see you are quick to learn and have the ability to do well they will take you on. Good Luck and let us know how you get on.

Croc....competency questions in my opinion are basically the skills you need to actually perform the job eg a Recruitment Consultant Matches job-seekers with employers' vacancies. ASSESSES candidates' skills & employers' requirements. LIAISES with recruiters & potential candidates & acts as the link between them. HELPS clients to obtain a good job. PERSUADES employers to use agency. PRESSURE to meet targets. Good LISTENING skills needed when interviewing.......you would be GREAT doing it too x

competancy questions- they will say to you give me an example where you have shown excellent customer servcie. and you have to give an example.
or give me an example where you have gone over and beyond company expectations and you have to again give an example.
they may ask you quite a few of these and you will need different answers for every question x

maybe they will ask something like 'what would you do if....'
just relax - because if you stress out thats when you make mistakes. be confident and remember - act like you're interviewing them. Believe that you are worthy and they will see that you are.

I interviewed for a recruitment consultancy job a good few years ago now. Got through to final stage and they sent us up to Birmingham for the final stage. I remember they were quite focused on how you deal with targets and what experience you've had working to them etc. I didn't have any experience of that at the time, so thoguht about how I like to set myself targets and how that makes me feel to achieve (and beyond!) them. Hope it goes well for you - kep us posted x
