Hi Ladies, my names Steph, I'm new to this site.. Been engaged for 2 years now but had 2 babies within that time so just getting round to setting a date! Got lots of ideas for my wedding but really struggling to find a reception venue for after we get married in the church!.. Any Ideas? (Stirling area) x

Jus a hall where my approx. 30 days guests canhave a meal and my approx. 100 evening guests can have a dance and a buffet.. been looking at hotels and guest houses but so far they all jus show prices for the full wedding package.. i jus want hire of the hall, meals and buffet, dj and perhaps decorations. the rest i want to do seperately x
I can't really think of anywhere in particular, have you tried asking if a venue could provide what you are after? Have you considered a pub/bar?

Gean House! It's in Alloa and it's beautiful! The gardens are amazing, it was my second choice behind where I'm having reception at now. It's not too pricey either. Most places can fit to your spec though, don't write anything off till you've heard them say no :) xx

ive not asked any venues yet, jus been looking around.. i wouldn't mind a bar, long as it held 100 people and had a dancefloor.. i'll have a wee look at gean house thanks.. jus tryin to find the cheapest options as our budget is very tight xx

i don't know how formal your do to be but Kilted Kangaroo (formerly Outback) in Stirling have a function room they hire out, and their bbq type food is great too! not sure how they would be for weddings but its somewhere we've considered and its pretty cheap! good luck x
