Wondered if you could help, have been trawling the internet and really struggling to find any venues in Suffolk for our reception. Were looking at about 150 people for a sit down 3 course meal then a further 50 for the evening with a buffet/bbq/hog roast or whatevers available!
We live in Southwold, right on the east coast of suffolk, the only 2 places big enough I've found are Dunston Hall and Ufford Park which are both still an hour from our local church where we will have the ceremony!
Any ideas gratefully received! (Also any places to avoid!)

To list a few:- Hengrave Hall (Bury St Edmunds) Yaxley Hall (Yaxley) Priory Hall (Hadleigh) Tattersalls (Newmarket)
I know some of them might be a bit too far away but thought it might give you a starter point.
Dunston Hall is an amazing venue for a wedding, been there for a couple of dos over the past few years. Never been to Ufford Park. The thing is I don't think it will matter too much about being an hour away, as long as guests know this well in advance they can then make suitable arrangements! x x x

Hi, I'm from Suffolk. I'm looking at Elm Barns in Toft Monks and Bateman Barns in Elmham (near Halesworth) They are really beautiful. It depends on what you are looking for. Oh, Hinton high lodge is lovely. (just along the A12) I went to a wedding there a few weeks ago, was really nice. xx
