I'm making my own playlist so the old ipod can be jus plugged in and left be Lol & it doesnt expect a £200 fee at the end of the night........ So down to making the playlist. no probs, i was going to use my ipod but the venue gave us their DJ for the night for £180 which isnt too bad plus i have a really bad taste in music so its probably safer left to someone else x

we decided on band or a dj because of this lol otherwise if i had my way it would be all rat pack and 50s stuff elvis, roy orbison etc with a bit of abba n queen thrown in with bon jovi n guns n roses for good measure lol

Were' having a live band and have chosen the package where we have control over what they sing - in between sets the dj will be playing more dancefloor filler stuff.... they have worked together before so I know it should be ok. I was looking at some of their photos the other day and their backing setting looked a little bland (black curtain held up over the riggy bars) so might have to think on that one, was hoping for a more classy looking setting. They are in a corner to maybe I could decorate the corner from ceiling to floor with black swagged fabric, with their stage it might look a little less pub ish!

We're doing a playlist for the evening as there's about 20 of us in the hotel bar for the night lol. We're also thinking of asking guests to choose a favourite track on the RSVP so that everyone gets a say what they listen to on the day.

i like the idea of everyone picking a song that way there a list of something everyone wants in between the set list for band if we manage to find one we like cheap enough!! the one we really wanted were charging £750 for 5 hours which i think is ridiculous!! Especially as they dont actually play fo rhte whole 5 hours!!! So we backto drawing board! Not happy wither cos i used to work with 2 of them!!
