BASICALLY, my H2B and i got engaged a couple of months ago and within a couple of weeks of us telling everyone his mother has come out and said that her and her boyfriend (who she has been with for about 6 months) are getting married next year too! I know I should be happy for her but i feel like she has massively stolen my thunder! She rang me this evening and was going on about how the wedding is going to be so amazing and how special it was going to be, and how her and her daughter can't wait and how its going to be the best day of all of our lives. I was thinking 'how sweet etc' until i realised she was talking about her wedding! Am i being a complete b-tch? Anyone got ANY ideas to keep me sane??

I have a similar situation with my SIL2B...I'm just learning to grit my teeth and bear it. I don't think they realise how much it upsets you. They see you've had your moment and they think its their turn. Nothing wrong with that but it means everyone's attention is now on them and you're forgotten a bit. Just make sure your day is everything you want it to be and try not to let her worry you. Ans you can always come and moan to me because I will totally understand! Lol! xx

My sister is doing the same. But all I am thinking now is "my wedding is more special to me.. buggar what she's doing" I know it's hard, and you're right to think she's trying to steal your thunder, cause she probably is. Just be the better woman! x
