After yet another telephone call (4 now) to a prospective venue and a promise each time that they would send me a brochure they have still failed to send one through. I would right them off but h2b really fancies the venue and wants me to phone again. The venue is 50 miles away so not really possible to go there due to work commitments, but I dont know what else I can do.

I wouldn't bother at all hun, if they can't get their act together enough to send u a brochure do u really want them responsible for your wedding??? I know i wouldn't want them organising anything for me if theyve been nothing but unhelpful and unreliable so far! x

If h2b wasnt really keen I would write them off but he still wants me to try, I know what you mean though, can I trust them? I will keep trying though just to keep him happy xxx

I would give it till the end of the week and keep trying! If no joy I would explain to your OH that they are being really difficult and incapable of sending a simple brochure and to maybe look elsewhere, Im sure if you tell him that if they cant send a brochure then there is no way that they can give you the wedding of your dreams etc. xxxx

If H2B wants it so badly, why isn't he chasing them? I know men are useless in general, but surely he can make phonecalls as easily as you can? What are his work commitments like, could he drive out, have a look around and bring back the brochure?

On a side note, sometimes these things have simple explanations - have you given them the address each time or did they keep it on file, because if there is a mistake in it maybe they are sending it out and it is going somewhere else? You might want to double check they have it right and check with your postman as well because the brochure might be too big to fit through the letterbox, and I had a problem in my old flat with parcels etc not being delivered, and not getting a card through the door either.

Ring and speak to the General Manager - trust me voice your concerns and things will happen in an instant xxx

Just phone again and explain that you want the brochure so you can start planning without that its hard

i WOULD SERIOUSLY DOUBT THEIR SKILLS TO LOOK AFTER MY WEDDING DAY. I MEAN REALLY, IF THEY CANT SEND A BROUCHURE TO YOU AFTER ASKING FOUR TIMES???..................ARE YOU REALLY WILLING TO LET THEM LOOK AFTER THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY OF YOUR LIFE?????

go somewhere else if they can't get a broucher right then how are they going to get your day right

I really couldn't go with someone who's unreliable when it comes to even little things like potential booking or brochure post outs - gawd knows what it would be like for a wedding and they kept forgetting little bits, would be a shambles.

Ask your partner for other places to go and look into - you'll probably find an even better venue closer by maybe even at a cheaper costings with better reliability.

I emailed a venue a few weeks ago to arrange a viewing on 11th september, they emailed me back a week later asking what time i would like to go in so i emailed straight back with the time and I am still waiting to hear from them... when and if they ever do get back to me I will be telling them where they can shove the place x

fingers crossed for you! if you don't get it this time i would give up with them! x

i was thinking the same, i dont think i could trust them to sort my wedding if they cant send a brochure :(
