have been looking at these cards online (first time I've ever come across them) and I wondered what wording people used.
I was planning on sending out the cards to those attending the day (one card) and for a seperate card for those for the evening...
Luckily my work's reprographics unit will do them for me (saves a bit).. so I can go a bit fancy (especially as one of the guy's is a graphic designer)

I didn't send out STD cards. I just designed something on Word, with pic of me and H2B, some Chinese Double Happiness signs and put "Tracey and Andy and getting married" on "date" and the area that it will take place in. I then just e-mailed it out to everyone and H2B fb'd everyone his side.
Saved a lot of cash on printing and postage.

lol - yeah the first time I saw that on here i was like WTF!
Most people I know did their STD's electronically and just phoned those who did not have access to e-mail/fb or text.

I have them fpr my day guests only as I dont want the evening guests thinking they are coming all day then only get an evening invite when the time comes lol. As for the wording Ive actually done a little poem in mine that I love

Thats fine. Save the dates (!) are exactly what they are- a generic way of reminding folk your getting married, and not an invite per se. Who you invite to your wedding as you onow, is up to you:-)

We sent out STD fridge magnets, just said 'Save the date for the wedding of Scott and Steph, 27th July 2012, invitation to follow. Got them from the bay, only sent to day guests x

As it happens, those who are coming to our wedding, will also be at the reception. No seperate evening invites to over-complicate things. Makes the numbers simple as well

.;we sent them to just the day and just said "Please save the date of 21st June 2013 for the wedding celebration of Kristian and Stacey Invitations to follow" i got them from Vista print they were just business cards so got 500 for free just had to pay p&p and i added glossy finish so think that cost about £5 so all in all cost about £10 and i bought self adhesive magnetic tape and stuck some magnetic tape on the back to create fridge magnets. xx

we sent save the date fridge magents to they looked really good and just said to save the date for our wedding on the 27th july 2013 at the grange and links hotel means guests that wanted to book rooms or a caraven (we live on the lincolnshire coast) could save the money and book somewhere to stay before everywhere is fully booked with holiday makers. xx

Lovely poem, hails :) We haven't sent any save the dates. Our family and friends know what date we're getting married so that should be enough lol. We haven't even wrote a proper guest list yet!
