This might sound like a bit of a stupid question, but when it comes to chair covers, do you hire enough for the amount of chairs needed for the ceremony/wedding breakfast, or do you hire extra for the evening chairs... or are there generally no extra chairs added for evening guests? I hope this makes sense! I guess what I'm asking is - do venues add extra chairs in the evening for the extra guests, or, because most people are standing up/dancing in the evening, do they not bother?

I don't know how many chair covers to order!

we're hiring enough chairs for guests at our service, the registrars and then quartet. After the service they're taking them through tot he reception room. They'll be kept on all night and collected the next morning by the supplier. we'll be having big comfy sofas scattered around the room in the evening so no need for them.
i'm sure if we need them they'll be dragging more chairs out of the store room but I won't be getting them covered x

At the weddings I've been involved in we only ordered chair covers for the number of chairs needed for the day guests (ceremony and wedding breakfast) as during the evening most people are on the dance floor anyway xxx

we are only having chair covers for the wedding breakfast but i think it is personal choice.. if in doubt speak to your venue. my wedding co-ordinator advised me against evening covers due to the overall cost and damages due to drinks being knocked over etc..

It depends how many you are having for eac. If you are only having 20-30 ish just order for your day. Just either get a reputable company that brings extra when setting up incase they find dirty/ripped one.

We are using the venues seat covers so they will add additional cover to seats for the evening guests, but if I had been hiring from else where I would have only been doing the ceremony and meal xx

Hadn't even thought about chair covers in evening! I'm having extra 80 people in evening so will probably not have covers then, plus it will be dark and I have no doubt there will be an increased incidence of drink spillage! My H2B thinks chair covers a complete waste of money and just another unnecessary extravagance- but I'm putting my foot down on this one! I NEED them! Lol. X

I'm the same as most ladies here, just getting enough for daytime guests. I won't be having any extra chairs at night time though. Like others have said, most people will be standing or dancing so I think it would be a waste of money to cover more chairs xxx

We are having 80 for day and a further 50 guests for the evening so only having chair covers for day guests as by the evening time they will get up to dance or move out into the bar area which has comfy chairs anyway.

I have no idea, not even thought of this either. Is your evening not in a different room? If so then it wouldn't matter xx
