We were supposed to be getting married on 29th oct this year but we have had to put it back. I was really upset by this but it is a good thing as we only have one wage coming in as I am at home with the boys. I already have my dress (which will need taking in) I have my table decs and my button holes (non wedding party guests). The photographer was paid his £100 deposit and has been really good about us changing the date without having to pay another deposit. Do you think it is too early to sort everything else out. I understand the suits and maids dresses will have to wait until closer to the time but other things like the flowers and the car and invites.

What about your venue? are they willing to change the date for you? without loosing what youve paid? Car if it was booked id cll them and tell them the situatuin xx

We have had to postpone a few times and it is very disheartening. See it from the point of view that now you have longer to think of all little special touches that don't cost the earth but just make the whole day that extra bit special. There is a thread on here for unique wedding ideas that I can bump for you if you like or you can find it under the search button. There may be something on there that may take your interest. 19 months isn't that long at all and it will definately fly by. I am sure you will find lots to keep you busy in the mean time. xxx

Well the venue has been cancelled completley as they were really difficult to deal with they had 5 dfferent managers in 3 months and no-one had any idea what was going on so I had to keep going through everything with each different one and then I gould not get in contact with anyone dealing with it through phone email or visits so we have only lost £50 so no big deal there and as for the car a friend of my H2B is sorting it out for us and he has een informed. So I have to look for a new venue which is harder than i thought as everywhere i really like is way too expensive so loks like it will be a function room

We are on our third date and to be honest Ive found it a god send!! Ive added so many little extras to our day that i wouldnt have been able to if we had stuck to our original date that i think make our day unique and special to us! Ive already saved 2k just by booking a few things last year before the vat and price increases, can you imigine how much it will be by the time the wedding comes around :-) The venue was booked and they were happy to change dates for us and ive set up a plan to pay the balance each month until now and the wedding :-) If you can do or buy things now then i suggest you do it hunni The things im leaving until last is my dress and bm's dresses because of diets and growth, even the mens suits are booked :-), just need to finish paying for them,as they dont need to pick and measure for them untill 6 months before the wedding!
