Hi ladies, I need some advice please. I already have my wedding dress which is beautiful and purple (pics in my album) the thing is I would love to have a veil, didn't really think about this when I impulse bought my dress! As you do! I don't want a purple veil but I am not sure if a white one will match? Our colour scheme is purple and white. So anyway I have been having a think about getting some sort of jacket/bolero with long sleeves in white to try and break down some of the purple and therefore be able to year a veil. What do you think? Hope I have explained it as good as it is in my head! :S thanks in advance for any replies :)

Is it possible to get silver veils? a silvery colour would match the detail on the dress nicely.

Could you try different veils on with your dress and see what looks best?

I would say get a bespoke silver veil, to match the silver embroidery on your dress. xx

Thanks Joanna, I could but unfortunately the dress doesn't even fit me yet! Lol. Purposely bought it 3 sizes too small for motivation, but kind of shot myself in the foot a little bit as I like to be organised and want to do everything yesterday! Can't take my dress around the shops with me and don't want to buy a veil to Get it home and it not match.
Think I am just being a pain in the bum to be honest! Lol

I've never seen a silver veil either, but it sounds like it'd look great :) I'd suggest taking a photo of your dress to a bridal shop abs asking them their opinion? The shop I bought my dress from were so helpful with what accessories match what dresses xxx

have you seen if you could get a veil dyed to match your dress? i know it sounds silly but some places might do it, otherwise silver would look lovely with purple good luck xx

Hi, read this thread hoping for ideas for bridesmaid dresses as I'm also wearing a purple dress ( and getting married on the same day as you! )
I cast my vote for silvery too

I think the sliver would be awesome, maybe have purple accents on it...
Another idea is an organza cloak. I'm wearing one in wine to go with my black and wine dress and it breaks down the colour nicely. There are pictures in my album of the two on the hanger. I know you can get them in white from the company hat did mine, but hey will work with other fabrics if you get in touch.

I think a dark purple would be lovely. You could always make your own in the colour you want. Tulle and netting come in so many colours.

i like the idea of a white or silver veil - im sure you will be able to get it dyed if needs be, if they can do shoes im sure they can do veils.... and then have the gems on the edging in silver or purple to match? Just had a nose at the dress - gorgeous!! absolutely love purple at the best of times!! xx

What about a birdcage veil. You could have one in purple to match or any other colour really. I think as your dress is such a statement dress adding a full veil might look a bit too much but a birdcage would complement it lovely.
