Hi everyone, I am 29 and am getting married in just under 2 years time on my 31st birthday, we are having a church wedding but I really want the colour scheme to be quite gothic, I am thinking purple, or should I go for a pale purple instead like lavender or lilac? I really can't decide what colour scheme I should have, if anyone can give me any advice I would be very greatfull :)

I personally love the idea of dark purple or cadbury purple and can tie in well with the gothic theme. depends on your personalities though and style of your venue. i was bridesmaid last year and wore lilac which was beautiful xx

I am having an ivory dress, I am thinking of having both dark purple and lilac, as my partner wants light colours, but I prefer dark!! So we can both have what we want that way, I have 3 dark purple glass bud vases already and can easily get a few more for table decorations I can buy some lilac silk flowers from my local pound shop to put in them too :)

I'm having dark purple for my older bm's and the flowergirls are in lilac as my OH waistcoat is ivory with lilac detail but my flowers/table decorations and chair decorations are a mixture of the two colours as they compliment each other beautifully.x

I'd agree on Dark Purple, it'd such a powerful colour
And would make you stand out more, other than Black & Red, this is a great Gothic Choice!! Xx

Hi, the wedding is back on but we have decided to downsize to a registry office instead of a church wedding as the stress was making me ill, so we are going with red and ivory with just a hint of gold now :)
