I've uploaded a picture in my bits and pieces album. They are those ABC blocks. Whats the proper name for them please? So I can do a proper search on google for some. I'm looking to spell out the table names on each table and they have to be the same colour as the one in the picture. The website where I found the "love" ones is £16 and thats the only one they have :(

I have no idea what they are called hun but they are so easy to make. All you need is a bit of paint, wood, sandpaper and either a steady hand and a paint brush or a stamp of the alphabet or stencil.

Thats what I was thinking if I couldn't find any reasonably priced ones. I think I would have to stain the wood first then paint it white to give it the shabby chic look

If you are having ivory and gold you can spray them gold first and then once it is dry a coat of ivory. Once it is all dry just lightly sand of the ivory in places so that the gold shows through. You could always do the base colour in something else to match your colours. Either that or you can buy what is called crackle glaze which then gives you a nice cracked effect to show the colour underneath.
