we sent out our invites in feb as august is a busy month with holidays and weddings. we also sent reply cards with the invites so making it easier to reply. the problem we are having is getting people to reply. its only 10 weeks to the wedding and we only have half a guest list, which means i cant do the table plan. i have reminded people verbally and sent them messages to send back reply cards and they say' yeah i'll do it' but still dont reply. just frustrating as it means i cant get on with the wedding planning involving the guests. How long do they need? and no-one has com to me to say the are having issues with the date eg getting time off. Ok rant over :)

I would send out a last message saying if you dont hear back within 7 days (or however long you feel is acceptable) then it will be presumed they are not coming. That'll buck them up a bit!

I dont really know what to suggest hun...how about emailing those that you can or passing messages through relatives/friends etc that u need a reply asap!!! Dont think its fair hun given your going to so much effort!!! Some people really dont understand what goes into the planning...do they??? Hope u get some word back soon xxxx

If you give people that long, they will leave it that long.

I think I'll be sending ours out at the beginning of January (after the hectic Christmas post has finished!) and requesting RSVP by 1st February, 4 weeks should be plenty long enough for people to put a card back in the post! More time the better really as evening invitations can turn into daytime ones to make up the numbers if necessary!

dont try to move your reply date; they cant sort their lives out to reply, let alone know if you move the reply date or not. Have you got many of the non-responders on Facebook?? just change your status to somthing like "is getting upset that her RSPVs havent been returned. Anybody who hasn't done it yet has 7 days or you're off the list" Good luck babe :] <3 x
