Hello Ladies, We have just booked our honeymoon, we are going on a cruise around the Med with Princess Cruises on the Grand Princess. We have never been on a cruise before and don't know what to expect, we could only afford an inside cabin - are they ok, i'm a bit worried about not having a window.
Please share your cruise stories with me & let me have your advice.
Thanks S XXX

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we were thinking of getting married on a cruise ship
iv been on a few cruises and had inside cabins every time, its not half as clostraphbic (spelling?!) as you would think! there is so much giong on on a ship anyway, you tend not to spend too much time in your cabin (even though it is your honneymoon!) im sure you will have a great time. where abouts in the med are you going to be stopping? xx

Thanks xxSophiexx that makes me feel better :-) We are going to Seville, Sardinia, Rome, Florence, Cannes and Barcelona! Can't wait it will be so nice to sail away from everything after the mad panic of the wedding.
That's good to know Wendy Woo, there aren't many sites that do reviews on cruises so I was a bit worried.

i went to florence off one of the cruises i went on and its a gorgeous place, i could have shopped there constantly for weeks on end! a lot of excursions you get on cruises usually want you to pay a fortune to follow a tour guide with a clip board at warp speed, but florence is somewhere you can easily go round on your own, in your own time so definatly try and do that if you can xx

we would like a cruise, where do you pick it up from, it all looks too confusing to start sorting it out, but its our dream, we are hoping to get vouchers or money as presents to pay for the honeymoon as we do not need anything else x
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
I married him and became Mrs Garnham.
It was most definitely the happiest day of my life.
I love married life !!!!

Hi Shellay, we start the cruise in Southampton. We booked it over the phone with Thomas Cook Cruises, they were really helpful, we told them what countries we would like to visit and what our budget was and they gave us different options. Because we haven't cruised before they told us about the best position/deck to be on, and recommended Princess, Royal Carribean and Celebrity cruises as the best for honeymoons. We pay the balance for the honeymoon in May and have asked for Thomas Cook vouchers as a wedding present. As long as Thomas Cook get the vouchers before we leave for the honeymoon, they credit the money back to our card.

I spent 6 days on board the Queen Mary 2, from NY to Southampton and I can honestly say that I wouldn't of noticed if I'd had a window! Me and H2B spent our time out of the room, ballroom dance lessons, the casino, at the spa, watching lectures and exploring. The room did feel a little stuffy, until we figured out the air con! You're best of spending your money on board the ship!
