This might seem like a really random question, but we rescued the cake toppers from our wedding cake (the bride and groom and train survived, but husband ate the dogs *sigh*) and I'm wondering what we can do to 'preserve' them. They're fondant and wrapped in foil in the fridge at the moment. I kept the cake toppers from my 30th birthday cake (6 years ago!) and they live in the freezer. Is there a better way to keep them?

Fondant lasts pretty well on its own anyway but if you can find something to put on it to help that would be better, can you ask the person who made them?? I suggest somewhere dry and dark, my sister has her cake decorations in a glass cabinet and they are still perfect

last year i had to bin my 8th birthday decorations as they went mouldy :(

Brilliant, thank you! They're wrapped in foil in the fridge at the moment so they're probably solid now! (our fridge is probably colder than it needs to be). Will have to find a nice box to keep them in :)
