I have booked off as holiday just the day before the wedding,is this long enough to get everything done? I only work 4 days a week so have the fri and sat as hol days anyway so will only work 2days that week.... Is it worth requesting I work the Sunday before and the Monday so I get tues/wed/thurs as days off so a bit more prep time?x

Sounds like a good plan. It depends on how much you already have organised as well. I had to ensure I had it all done apart from picking up my dress and the cakes before the week before as I was at uni all week bar the Wednesday. I picked my dress up on the Wednesday, and my Mum picked the cakes up on the Friday whilst I was at uni.

im having weds and thurs off before our wedding which is on a friday. i think it will be plenty of time for me as all we need to do is drop stuff off at venue and pick up dresses and suits. depends how much prep you need. the day before for me is just relaxing time so keeping a full day to myself for nails etc x

Yeah I would at least get yourself an extra day off. You want an extra day to destress or deal with last min glitches xx

It depends how you feel and how organised you are.

I had a Saturday wedding and took the whole week off before, my sister had a Thursday wedding and took the Monday Tuesday and Wednesday off before plus had the weekend xx

I think the more time off the better, you'll have more chance to organise all the last minute details, make sure you don't forget anything and relax at the same time. you don't want to get too flustered in the days running up to it you want to be as relaxed and composed as possible xx

I've taken the Thursday and Friday off and get married on the Saturday, I was going to take the whole week off but then decided to add the extra days to the end of the holiday so I'm off for h2b's 40th also. I know if I'm off any longer before I'll just be stressing myself so least while I'm at work my mind will be occupied on other things :) xx
