Hi I had a lady write on my wall a few days ago saying she would like to talk to me about her wedding and could I give her a direct way of contacting her, I don't give my detail out just like that but I told her she was more than welcome to add me as a friend on here and use the messenger to talk to me, I haven't heard anything since. I apologize profusely if this lady is genuine and truly does just want some one to talk to but something about it just doesn't sit right with me. Would the moderators be able to check the validity of the lady just to be sure she is who she says she is and it's nothing more sinister?

I had a photographer post on my wall a few weeks ago but I already have one so ignored it. I wouldn't give details out until you get more info. They obviously use the site so can contact you through here if they are genuine.

No company that why I'm a bit concerned, if it was someone obviously touting for business I wouldn't be bothered but this is someone with a profile asking for direct contact to talk about her wedding but her profile is restricted so I can't add her as a friend. The message is on my wall take a look see what you think

Maybe she is just saying that cause she knows she isn't allowed to advertise and was going to offer you some sort of a wedding service. Seems a bit random though. xx

She might be a completely genuine person wanting someone to talk to and she just doesnt knkw how the site works in which case I really am sorry for being cautious but it is a bit weird

Maybe she'll see this thread and know to contact you again and let you add her as a friend. Just read the message she posted, its worded slightly strange, but she could just be from the same area and want to swap ideas.
I'd just wait and see if she contacts you again, if she doesn't I think you may have your answer!

As GF says, do not give out your personal details to anyone on here unless you're absolutely certain they are genuine and you are interested in being friends with them beyond this forum. Just be cautious though ladies x

That is a bit weird!! I'd be cautious!! I agree with the other ladies just to keep your contact information to yourself and like you did say in reply to comment to friend request you and can chat through messenger, or like Leanne said she could think it's like book face xx
