Well yesterday, Pete told me that he'd been thinking about pushing the wedding date back. atm it would only be to the begining of 2013 instead of mid 2012. I understand where he's comming from becuase he wants to save money. But it just feels like it's gonna be one of those things where it keeps being put off until we have more money. I don't think it would bother me so much except when it comes to money Pete is a typical bloke. He spends it then complains he aint got any. So when it comes to saving it's me that usually has to make the sacrafices. I've loved having a strong idea of the date (it's not set but when we went to look at venue's we were talking about 2nd sept 2012), but now it's just in the air again. I'm guessing he could tell that I was thrilled with the idea becuase he said, of course we can see how much we've saved closer to the time. but then I thought, yes but a wedding can't be planned over night. I know the time will fly, and I know having the money saved is obviously the intelegent thing for me to do. I guess I just wanna be a bit childish and say "I want it now" lol

Thanx for the ear girlies.... just needed to vent. Cx

dont worry my h2b wants to put it back coz we dont have the money... i thot thats what it was but last nite he says it in 2 years so u have time to change your mind... i told him i proposed coz i wanted to marry him and left the date so he could decide when he was really ready. its now been changed 3 times... and its getting further away.. i'm saving anyway coz things have to be paid for so at least wen we get round to it there will be some money there... hope you get it worked out... i'd love it now as well, so no i dont think u are being childish.. :)

Booking the date gives you something to aim towards without actually having a date for things to be paid we would never have got here. Do lots of research on ideas, then get prices, work out a provisional guest list and do a budget accordingly, make sure you allow for all the little extras even if its only an extra pot then work out a budget. Put all the payments in due date order and then do a timeline from now till then of what you will be able to put away each month. If you have enough money you are laughing if not move the date back to when you will be able to afford it or cut your spending. Make sure you know what is included in each reception package and what the payment terms are, ours is such a % by so many weeks before then another % which is actually easier. You need to chat to H2B, if its only down to money you can sort that, have what you want when you can afford it or have what you can afford when you want it thats the realistic choice here.
