Hi everyone; I've got my heart on having an wedding abroad by the sea as it would fit our aquatic theme perfectly but was just wondering where people are having or have had their weddings abroad and recommendations?
I would love to get married in Florida;Orlando but the flights are expensive for us/guests along with accommodation even before you pay for $6,000 + for the venue e.t.c :(
We do like the idea of Kefalonia in Greece as it is where my parents had their honeymoon :) The flight times keep changing though between 3 - 5 1/2 hours which is annoying though I did find a good site which was about £500 per person for return flights, bed/breakfast and accommodation for 14 days so not to bad I guess as it would mainly be close friends/family with an evening reception back in the UK for those who can't attend.
So expensive though but I guess if people can make an holiday out of it then it wouldn't be so bad :S
Anyway; any other ideas or recommendations :)

I know people that have got married in Cyprus, Jamaica and Santorini.
Never been to a Wedding abroad myself but those that I know raved about the above places.

I am getting married right on the beach at a private wedding venue in Cyprus (Ayia Nappa).
We looked at a few options and Cyprus seemed the best option to me personally as you only have to legally be in the country 3 days, the marriage paperwork is all straight forward and in English plus its affordable for my guests.
We are staying at a lovely hotel called Olympic Lagoon but getting married at Aphrodite Beach Venue which looks as though its privately owned by our wedding planners.
My best advice is look around consider all aspects of the wedding and go with what feels right to you. x

were getting married in Kos, Greece got an amazing deal £2500 for absoluteley everything- meal for 20people hair make up flowers cake champagne vide flowers ect
We do plan on getting married on beach but our hotel has a little chappel so we shall see we might swap to that x
