my little girl had a really bad cold a few weeks ago and nothing could help her sleep...but then i thought instead of putting the chest rub on her, i made a hole in the top of a tub that had a lid put a big dollop of chest rub in it with some nearly boiled water and put it in her room while she was sleeping...didnt cure her but really helped with her breathing. hope she gets better soon xx

thanks, her temp seems fine at the min but her eyes are streaming, runny nose and is bringing stuff up off her chest. it is just making her really grumpy, it is'nt helping that daddy works nights to trying to keep a poorly baby quiet is not easy. x

Have you tried Medised? it has a decongestant in it. I think for little ones it's only available over the counter but i swear by the stuff!!!! because of the decongestant it acts as a mild sedative which helps them to sleep, try putting her to sleep in her buggy, mostly sitting up, will help a bit with the coughing. HTH

my son is 3 and has had a hard time of it the last few days with a cold and burning up..he hates having any medicine so we have to sneak his nurofen / calpol into his juice , cocoa etc!

recommend the Kavol plug in u can buy that u plug in and its a wee tab of decongestent that gets released slowly! so can help with any blocked noses etc
