    Hi
I was hoping for some advice, I am currently a size 20/22 and will be looking for my wedding dress sometime after the new year. Whilst I am looking to loose some weight before my big day, I don't want to count on loosing a large amount of weight to find the dress that is right for me. I've heard a lot of things such as normal bridal shops don't have samples to try in bigger sizes so I was wondering if anyone had any advice on finding the perfect dress without the pressure of loosing lots of weight. I know lots of dresses come on bigger sizes however my worry is trying them on and finding a shop that doesn't make me feel like I should be smaller as I am happy as I am. Thanks !!

I'm going to be in the same predicament as you. I'm currently size 24 and hoping to start looking at dresses next year. I've heard that it's a good idea to call dress shops and ask what sizes they stock to try on. I have also heard that ***w3d t0 83 stock a bigger range of sizes compared to independent places and boutiques. I believe there are also some shops that specialise in plus size dresses. Might be worth seeing if there is one local to you.

When you call to make the appointments ask them what sizes their sample dresses are. I have seen in Birmingham that there are specific plus size shops too

Great advice from the ladies above, most shops are really helpful and will understand that you will want to try the dresses on in you size range. If one shop doesn't have your sizes but does have a collection you like they will be able to tell you where will have the right sizes in.
