for our invites we have included an info card with all the info on, so you could do that to mut in the menu chocies/alchohol.
then we have included a rsvp for them and put on there about dietary requirements. you could write your meal choices on there and they can tick what they want? xx

why dont you put it on the RSVP? Thats where all that stuff usually goes xxx

Have you thought about setting up a website? You could have your guests fill everything out ina kind of questionnaire type thing and then you can download it into a s/sheet... x
We didn't put an RSVP in as our invitations were quite pricey.
We included: 1, the invitation 2, a small slip explaining the menu, we put - 'we would like to offer our guests a choice of menu, please select one of each course and let us know your choices along with your rsvp. If you have any special dietry requirments please let us know and we will forward a new menu to meet with your requirments'. 3, another slip with the menus, I copied the menus into micr0soft word and added some little boxes at the side for people to tick their choices. 4, a gift list card telling people where to look for our gift list.
It sounds a lot but there is a lot to tell people and at least they have everything written down so they can check when they forget! x

We just picked the food, everyone is having the same - cant be dealing with that stress if someone doesnt get what they ordered. We included a slip on hotels in the area for people to stay at and also info on getting on the coach - our venue and church are some distance, there are people coming who dont know the area and there is no parking at the church.
