ive had enviromenatl health involed and i have got about 20 letters from my docs h2b docs health vistor and midwife still no luk my h2b had a chest infection since may 2010 my 2 children are both very cheasty and the council have in writing that it is from damp still nothing thanks for all your support and wishes tho

ring up the enviromental health up at the local council... years ago when my son was a baby our house leaked had mould etc etc landlord did bog all didnt want to know... i rang the enviromental health up ... 3 days later came round 3 months later i had had a new front wall, new double glazing and new flooring.... worth a go because the enviromental health have to do something even thou they are part of the council they can really help espec with council properties....

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation hun :( I can't give you much more advice than the girls have already given you other than keep at the council, it is not fair that you are being made to live in a house like that. xxx
crocadillo i rang enviromental health and they said cos its due to condestation caused by too many off us in the building they cant do anything she can only help if its a building problem i dont belive its condersation only as 1 person lived here on her own b4 we did and she still had the same problem but according to damp servayers thats all it is,,
is it just be or was the article in our paper they way they answered like they igored everything i said

theres another band above me prority but appently im not eligable for that its only serious cases lke homeless people and ppl in really bad situations

another problem 2day though my boil was broke so tuesday they came and had a look cos i had heating but no hot water not even warm today they came to fit it but ordered the rong part but afta they been fiddling with in i got no hot water or radiators no so sat here wiv coats on shivering and they said can i not wait till tuesday for the part :@ waiting now for out of hours to come but cud take upto 24hrs

I've just read the story and the reply from the council make it sound like you were just asking for a bigger property rather than wanting to move because you are living in a hell hole! Do they ever listen?

have you tried getting in contact with a local advocacy group for people with disabilities or for children or contacting a local MEP? Both advocay groups and politicians have the right contacts so if you could get one of those to take your case up it might help
