I need help please... my partner and I have never had 'a song' so we're kinda stuck for a first dance. He said that it's down to me what it is and as his favorite band is Nickleback, i'd like it to be one of their songs. However I have no idea where to start so i'd appreciate it if you could think of any and let me know please. Thank you xxx

We are having Chasing cars by Snow Patrol as it was the song that we first danced too and the song that was playing when he asked me to move in with him. But it is your choice, I think you need to make that decision together. X

I googled wedding videos (as in companies who video weddings), and listened to the backing tracks they had on the samples, then got a shortlist of 5 that I liked, and ask my Hubby to pick the ones he liked from the shortlist - then we decided on Everything by Michael Buble as we wanted a chirpy, sweet song rather than a mushy ballad for slow dancing!

If I were you hun I would type Nickleback songs into google, see what comes up and go on you tube to listen to them and see what you find. If you cant find one then have a look at the most popular ones for first dance songs xxx

Thanks for all your ideas girls. My partner told me to google it and write a list of the ones i liked, then he went through it and said which ones he likes. Finally we've managed to get it down to two, Never guna be alone and Farway. So there was me thinking we just had to choose between them when he suggests Here and Now by Steps!?! Zeemee, My self and the OH have not got a song either and have never danced together as we are not that type of people. Going to a 'normal' wedding together in November so may change. I say normal as the only other wedding we were together at, I was MOH and it was in Spain, was only 30 of us there so it was a usual wedding.
I don't particularly want a first dance, as I feel a bit of a k**b just shuffling around the floor together in front of everyone. So was thinking of learning Salsa or something fun but OH isn't interested. Will have to wait and see what happens. xxx

Think his decision is something to do with the fact that we were both MEGA Steps fans the first time round.... Don't get me wrong i'm getting back into them but it's something that i'd listen to when im on my own and get my groove on with nobody watching me. Oh god.... now i've started myself off by thinking of all them people looking at me..... think i need to book some dance classes lol x
